The art show is now closed to new applications.

The art show is a massive part of the World Fantasy Convention. In 2025, we plan to offer an exhibition and platform for art in the genres of fantasy and horror that showcase some of the very best and most creative practitioners working in our field.

There are two parts of the art show; the exhibition and the print shop.

The exhibition is for original art, sculpture and jewellery displayed on board or a table. Items will be bought using a silent auction system where artist set a minimum bid that they would accept for the art and potential buyers write how much they would be willing to pay. The highest bidder buys the art at the price they bid.

The print shop is for reproductions of original art sold at a fixed price. These may be displayed in a number of different ways. We will not accept printed t-shirts, merchandise or similar items in the art show.

There is also the Art Show Reception on Saturday which allows the artists to meet with attendees to discuss and showcase their art.

The Art Show will be juried by the Art Show Team. To be accepted, the subject matter must be fantasy or horror and of professional standard. Both two-dimensional and three-dimensional art, fine hand-made jewellery and prints can included. Jewellery must be unique, not mass-produced, and must contain more than 50% unique material if mass-produced components are included. Digital art should be created as closely to an original as possible, such as a print-once-and-destroy-file or printed once at a high resolution at a large size for display.

Artist setup and packup time

Artshow room will be built up on Wednesday, artists should set up from 11am -2pm Thursday

All artists should have collected their art for removal from the show on Sunday BEFORE 1pm.

Steve Crisp

I went to St Martins College in the 70’s and joined Artist Partners Agency just after where they were instrumental in obtaining Fantasy and Horror Book Cover commissions which forged my career for over 40 years. As well as many Fantasy works I have done 11 Stephen King Book Covers and 27 Richard Laymon Horror covers over that time.. plus the Film Poster for The Princess Bride. I love combining painting techniques with airbrush which created the style ( along with other artists) of the 80’s and 90’s .
