How to get to the Convention

Brighton is on the south coast of England.

The address of the hotel is; 106 Kings Rd, Hilton, Brighton and Hove, Brighton BN1 2FU.

Driving & Parking

If you are driving from anywhere further north, then you can get to Brighton via the A23.

If coming from the east or west you can come via the A27 and then the A23.

There is a loading bay at the front of the hotel. There are also drop off/unloading options either side of the hotel.

There is a large car park at the rear of the hotel. It has a height restriction of 1.83m. This costs £27 per day There is another car park at Churchill Square; this has a height limit of 1.93m and costs £28 per day.

There is parking for higher vehicles (no height barrier) on Queensbury Mews. This is limited to 2-hour periods between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.

A full map of street parking and restrictions can be found on the council website https://www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/parking/street-parking-information-map

We have been told there is free parking without a height barrier on Rodean Way, BN2 5RJ, which is about 3 miles away. This might be helpful for dealers and others bringing a higher vehicles or those who are not keen to pay for parking. We will be checking this information on a site visit and updating further.

There are more details of accessible parking (Blue badge) on our Accessibility Audit.

Train

The nearest station is; Brighton Station, Queens Road, Brighton, BN1 3XP. https://www.southernrailway.com/travel-information/plan-your-journey/station-information/BTN/Brighton

The train station is less than a mile from the convention, which may be a walkable distance for some people or you can catch a taxi at the station.

You can plan your rail journey and book tickets with the national rail website.

If you are travelling through London you may need to use the London Underground (subway).

Air

The nearest airport is Gatwick. Heathrow, Luton, Stanstead and other London Airports are all achievable by public transport also. There are direct trains from Gatwick Airport and Luton Airport Parkway (shuttle bus from the airport to the station). Other London Airports will need transport via the London Underground to Farringdon or other stations on the same overground line. There are direct trains from Farringdon to Brighton. You can plan your rail journey and book tickets with the national rail website.

We will do downloadable step by step guides of how to get to the convention from London airports closer to the time.

Travelling from Abroad / Entering the UK

The rules for coming to the UK vary depending on where you are coming from, but many people may now need the new Electronic Travel Authorisation.

To check if you need this and any other travel requirements please check the UK Government website:

https://www.gov.uk/uk-border-control

If you are bringing items to sell at the convention (books, art, etc.) please check the advice on our Dealers page.

Travel within the UK

You may be extending your visit and travelling within the UK.

National Rail website has a map of train routes accross the UK and a journey planner allowing you to check times, prices and to book tickets. https://www.thetrainline.com/ sometimes has cheaper tickets, so it may be worth checking there as well.

Transport for London is the website you need for travelling in and across London using public transport and the London Underground (subway).

There are a whole lot of car hire places, both at airports and in Brighton. If you are just planning to be in Brighton/London we would not recommend this as parking in Brighton is expensive and driving in London is not always fun. However, if you are planning to head off into the countryside or travel round the Uk this might be a good option for you.

Getting a bus/coach is also an option and often cheaper for long distance travel than the train, but can be significatly slower.
