Elizabeth Wein writes YA featuring female pilots, and is best known for Code Name Verity. She also writes teen non-fiction, but her first love is fantasy. Her Lion Hunters cycle is based on Arthurian legend, and she has a Star Wars novel, Cobalt Squadron, to her name. With a PhD in Folklore, she joined SFWA in 1993. Elizabeth teaches in Hamline University’s MFA in Creative Writing for Children and Young Adults. She has lived in Scotland since 2000 and is a dual American and British citizen.
